Nutrition
At Eveline Day School we realise the importance of a good healthy diet and the positive effect it has on a child's learning.
We endeavour to provide high quality foods which are additive free and low in fats and sugars. We encourage children to eat fresh fruit daily.
Different menus are prepared weekly offering a selection of attractively presented hot meals of an appropriate nutrient composition. We aim to develop in children, a wider understanding of food, nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
In our school members of staff eat with pupils encouraging good table manners. Grace is said before the start of each meal. Pupils are asked to wait until everybody has finished their meal before clearing their place.
We also encourage the children to drink water as frequently as possible, as this is known to enhance children's learning state.
We have recently updated our school menu being led by Jamie Oliver's Healthy foods for schools campaign.
All special dietary needs are catered for. Please contact us for further information.
