Geography

At EDS, Geography is taught by each class teacher. Various topics are covered throughout the year across both Key Stages. Teachers use varied resources and teaching methods with educational visits playing an important role in the subjects studied.

 

Geography includes Our Local Area, The United Kingdom, The World and more. Within the topics for each subject the children are taught key learning skills, such as developing awareness of maps and field work skills. Skills are also developed within yearly residential trip to Juniper Hall, where the children participate in activities such as orienteering.
